            • San Juan North Secondary

            • San Juan North Secondary School (formally called San Juan Secondary Comprehensive School), opened on 3rd September 1979 under the administrative head of Dr. Jason Hernandez, Principal and the late Mrs. Rosamunda Davidson, Vice-Principal. The school shared premises with the El Dorado Senior Comprehensive School. The first intake of students comprised of only Form 4 students. The 18th February, 1980 marked the beginning of classes at the present location. The school is spread over several acres of land and it is so vast that the Technical Area is known as ‘Tobago’. In September 1988, the school received its first batch of form 1 students, converting it from a two year to a five year school and in 1997, Form 6 was introduced thereby changing it to a 7 year school. Our form 6 graduates have continued to do well, both at local and foreign universities. In 2007, the school was able to produce its first national scholarship winner in Business Studies. At the school, students are exposed to a wide range of academic, pre-technical and craft subjects. The Auto General students were the winners of the then popular NP Quiz. This technical area continues to perform well and in 2009, a student won the President’s Medal in the field of Auto Mechanical.
